The beads, are a great idea. I never thought of it. I am definetly going to share the picture with my 12-year-old stepdaughter whom I hope to Sisterlock in February 2005 :)

This child's hair is absolute beautiful!!! I'm planning on locking my 5 years old hair. She has seen mature, long locs and says she wants them in her hair. Any thoughts or comments on locking at such a young age????

This little girl started her Sisterlocks at age five, now she's 9 and has very long hair, even longer now than what's on this photo! encourage your daughter to look at this picture for motivation. The beads are knotted on with her own hair...or you can rubber band them on.

My daughter is very tender headed, so we struggle to come her hair. When I get it braided she's happier, but then I have to go through her crying when it is taken down and done again. Is sisterlocs easier on a little child, I mean does it involve lots of revisits of twisting and pulling and such?

My daughter is tender headed also. She is 6 and I just had her locked 2 weeks ago. She did awesome. She didn't cry at all and didn't need to take as many breaks as I thought she would. SHe's Lovin' her hair. I feel I did the right thing.
